LINDY HOP IN EXETER & TOTNES
Next Freestyles/Socials/Events (Exeter):
Sunday 14 May. 'JUMP UP' Lindy Hop workshop with Graeme and Ann. For Beginners and Improvers. 3 classes covering all the essential Lindy Hop principles of lead and follow, technique and connection to make you feel more confident on the social dance floor. It will also be a very useful recap/reinforcement for experienced dancers.

Doors open 12.00
Session 1: 12.30 - 1.30.
Session 2: 1.45 - 2.45.
Session 3: 3 - 4
Tea Dance 4.15/30 - 6pm. Open to everyone. Bring some cake!.

General directions. The hall is 5 minutes from the M5 motorway - From Junction 30 of the M5 take the A376 (Exmouth) and at the second roundabout turn left (signposted Woodbury). Take 1st left and the hall is on the left just past the school. Cost: 3 classes PLUS evening dance £35. Join us afterwards for an early evening meal at the George and Dragon Hotel, Clyst St George EX3 0QJ. More details soon.
'The Mansion' Fore Street, Totnes, TQ9 5RP. The Mansion is opposite Lloyds Bank on Fore Street between The Royal Seven Stars Hotel and the Arch. We are in the Hall on the first floor behind the main building and opposite Totnes Library.
Dates: Every Tuesday. New 6 week courses for Beginner's/Improvers and Intermediates starts April 4 2017. All welcome. No need to bring a partner. Try out a few moves, dance to the music, have a chat and some fun.
Times: Registration 7.15pm. Begs/Improvers 7.30-8.30pm. Improvers/Intermediates 8.45-9.45pm. All welcome. Times may vary.
Price: 6 week courses £39. Discounted rates for students.
VENUE: 'First Floor Swing Club' Heavitree Conservative Club, 7 Church Street Heavitree, Exeter, EX2 5EH (map).
The room is upstairs and has its own separate entrance from the main lobby. Now with bigger dance floor.

On the corner of Fore Street Heavitree and Church Street there are 2 pubs, The Horse and Groom and The Ship and Pelican which are all opposite the Co-Op. The Conservative club is a short distance down Church Street on the left hand side.
Buses: There is a bus stop in front of the Co-Op. 'Heavitree Co-Op' stop
Parking: There is street parking on Church Street and Kingsway (Resident Parking is only until 6pm). Gordons Place Car Park EX1 2RR (Free after 6pm BUT there is some Resident Permit Parking - allocated spaces)
