Next Freestyles/Socials/Events (Exeter):

11 March - The Drat Pack. The Drat Pack are a collective of the finest musicians and singers based in the South West. Playing classic swing and jazz to dance to. No bar, feel free to bring your own. Large sprung dance floor. DJ's to keep you swinging. Dress Theme (optional): 'Moonshine'. Early bird price: 10. (until Saturday 25 Feb. Be quick!)

Venue: St James' Church Hall. Mount Pleasant Road. EXETER EX4 7AH.

General directions: St James' Church is to the north-east of Exeter city centre. The venue is by the roundabout where Mount Pleasant Road, Prince Charles Road, Stoke Hill, Union Road and Old Tiverton Road meet. On-site parking. The hall is behind the church.

WEEKLY CLASSES

TOTNES:

'The Mansion' Fore Street, Totnes, TQ9 5RP. The Mansion is opposite Lloyds Bank on Fore Street between The Royal Seven Stars Hotel and the Arch. We are in the Hall on the first floor behind the main building and opposite Totnes Library.

Dates: Every Tuesday. New 6 week courses for Beginner's/Improvers and Intermediates starts February 21 2017. All welcome. No need to bring a partner. Try out a few moves, dance to the music, have a chat and some fun.

Times: Registration 7.15pm. Begs/Improvers 7.30-8.30pm. Improvers/Intermediates 8.45-9.45pm. All welcome. Times may vary.

Price: 6 week courses 39. Discounted rates for students.

EXETER:  

VENUE: 'First Floor Swing Club' Heavitree Conservative Club, 7 Church Street Heavitree, Exeter, EX2 5EH (map).

The room is upstairs and has its own separate entrance from the main lobby. Now with bigger dance floor.

Dates: Every Thursday. New 6 week courses starts February 23 2017. No need to bring a partner. All welcome.

Time: Registration 7.15pm. First Session (Beginner's/Improvers) 7.30 - 8.30pm. Practice 8.30 - 8.50. Second Session (Improver's/Intermediates) 8.50 - 9.50pm. Practice/Drink/Relax/Settle Down/Have a Chat 9.30 - 10.15pm. Times may vary.

Price: 6 week course 30. Discounted rates for students.

General Directions:

On the corner of Fore Street Heavitree and Church Street there are 2 pubs, The Horse and Groom and The Ship and Pelican which are all opposite the Co-Op. The Conservative club is a short distance down Church Street on the left hand side.

Buses: There is a bus stop in front of the Co-Op. 'Heavitree Co-Op' stop

Parking: There is street parking on Church Street and Kingsway (Resident Parking is only until 6pm). Gordons Place Car Park EX1 2RR (Free after 6pm BUT there is some Resident Permit Parking - allocated spaces)
